Failed Marker Art

I started this last year. I had never done anything completely in marker and white ink, so this was an experiment. This was a fan design of the Super Mechagojira (SMG) in the 93 movie, hence its name was Unit 93.

I made a big mistake drawing it on a folded doubled page in my sketchbook, which also didn't have marker paper. The marker oily ink "punched through" a few pages underneath it, forcing me to cut off the page from my sketchbook. I postponed on this for a few months to focus on my professional project first. Today, after cleaning up my house for Lunar New Year, I accidentally dropped it into a water bucket, and almost tore it into 2 pieces taking it out ... What a sad day ... I will redo it again after finishing my project.

I had not updated my portfolio for more than half a year, as a mental push to finish the project I've been working on the past 4 years. I made an exception for this one for now as a farewell for it ...
